This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of Codin,Inc. (“Codin,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your information on www.codin.app (the “Site”) and the services, features, content, applications, and widgets offered by Codin (collectively with the Site, the “Service”). It also outlines our procedures, uses and your rights about any cookies that may be in use. We receive information about you from various sources, including:

(i) if you register for the Service and provide your contact information;

(ii) your use of the Service;

(iii) from third party websites and services. When you access or use the Service, you consent to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure, and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information Collection and Use

1.1: When you register for the Service, we may ask for your contact information, including items such as name, company name, address, email address, and telephone number. If you choose to refer a friend to the Service, we may collect your friend’s email address so that we may send them a one-time invitation and track the success of your referral. As you navigate the Service, we may collect information such as your IP address in order to facilitate ease of login for our users. We do not use such information for any other purpose or engage in the selling of such information to third parties. You implicitly also grant us access to derivative data arising from logging your internet address. We may also collect information through the use of commonly-used technologies, such as cookies, pixel tags, browser analysis tools, server logs, and web beacons. We may use this technology to:

(i) evaluate how users utilize the Service;

2. Third-Party Integrations

2.1: In order to provide Codin’s services, we may occasionally interface, integrate, or provide access to third-party platforms that we are not affiliated with as part of your user experience, which may include, but are not limited to:

(a) Github;

(b) LinkedIn;

(c) Twitter;

(d) Discord;

(e) StackOverflow;

(f) Medium;

(g) Youtube.

2.2: In such cases of integration, any terms of service, privacy or cookie policies that have been set up on the part of third-party platforms shall also come into effect in addition to Codin’s terms of service, privacy & cookie policies. 

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

3.1: We do not rent, sell, or share any information about you with other people or third parties except in the following circumstances:

(a) To comply with laws or legal process or respond to lawful requests, including from law enforcement and government agencies;

(b) If we believe disclosure is necessary to limit legal liability; protect or defend our rights, property, or interests; or protect the rights, interests, safety, and security of others; To service providers, vendors, and consultants who need access to such information to carry out work for us;

(c) In connection with a substantial corporate transaction, such as the sale of a website, a merger, consolidation, asset sale, or in the unlikely event of a bankruptcy;

(d) To enforce compliance with our agreements or policies, with your consent, and as may be otherwise set forth in this Privacy Policy.

3.2: We reserve the right to transfer information collected by the Service in connection with any sale or transfer of all or part of our business or assets. We may also remove parts of data that can identify you at any point of collection or thereafter, unless you have provided consent for the publication of that data.

4. Your Choices About Collection and Use of Your Information

4.1: You can choose not to provide us with certain information. However, choosing not to provide certain required information may result in you being unable to use certain features of the Service because such information may be required in order for you to register as a member.

4.2: We may send periodic promotional or informational emails to you. You may opt-out of such marketing emails by following the opt-out instructions contained in the email. Please note that opt-out requests may take some time to be effective.

4.3: Your selection on receiving marketing emails will not preclude Codin from corresponding with you regarding your user account or your transactions with us.

4.4: If you request us to delete all data we have collected on you, we shall delete your data in accordance with all local regulations and laws that may be in effect; we will also provide you with confirmation of such in a timely manner. However, please note that such a request will also result in the termination of your use of Codin’s Services, since your use of Codin’s Services necessitates the collection of user data as needed to ensure optimal operation.

5. Data Security and Your Risks

5.1: We have implemented commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure to the best of our ability with your best interests in mind. However, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to overcome those measures or use your personal information for improper purposes. You hereby acknowledge and assume these risks by using the Service.

6. Managing Cookies In Your Browser

6.1: Most browsers allow you to manage how cookies are set and used as you’re browsing, and to clear cookies and browsing data. Also, your browser may have settings letting you manage cookies on a site-by-site basis. For example, deleting existing cookies, allowing or blocking all cookies, and setting cookie preferences for websites. Most browsers offer some form of Incognito mode, which deletes your browsing history and clears cookies from the Incognito windows on your device after you close all of your Incognito windows.

7.1: In accordance with the California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”), Codin’s privacy & cookie policy notifies you about the data we collect on you as a user, our procedures regarding the sharing of that information, our information security procedures, and your rights pertaining to that data. 8. Privacy Policy Changes

8.1: Although most changes are likely to be minor, Codin may change its Privacy Policy from time to time. Codin encourages you to frequently check this page for any changes. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such changes.
